Nature's Fireworks

"The earth shook; The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God; Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel. You, O God, sent a plentiful rain, Whereby You confirmed Your inheritance, When it was weary. Your congregation dwelt in it; You, O God, provided from Your goodness for the poor. The Lord gave the word; Great was the company of those who proclaimed it: "(Psalm 68:8-11 NKJV)

A friend of mine came up with the title of this one when referring to nature's way of inspiring us when we simply observe God at work.
Thunderstorms, to be specific, are a great way to show us that what we usually look to in order to feel some kind of jolt of adrenaline or spark of passion, may actually end up leaving us with the opposite.
This world has a redundant way of taking our best while forgetting all about us in the process. If we could collect the tears cried over the unreciprocated love affair with such a world, we would drown. If we were to search for a someone to represent our aid in fighting off defeat we would notice not much of anyone would be around.
God is the difference between lack and luster. What dims our flame daily, He rekindles with grace and a loyalty unfailing. Something like this...

He is hidden in the rain that is released when our souls are in drought.
He is revealed by the winds that Toss our expectations about.
Just when we feel obsolete, maybe even bored with who we are,
He brings about the kind of storm that creates an energy inside us we haven't felt thus far.
We will lose. Probably everything we think means so much to us by the time He is through.
He has to strip away all the mediocre to get to the best of you...

To sum it all up, sparkle amongst the darkness that tries to convince you that it's not possible for you to shine.
Laugh at the problems and realize they are actually the solutions in time.
Let the birds show you how easy it is to be free.
Let the flowers represent how God intended us to sit and look pretty.
Nature can light up your heart like the 4th of July.
When the clouds roll in and lightning creates the sparks of excitement that fly.
The sparks you has assumed would no longer come.
Showing you God is the source of satisfaction and the ability to get the getting done.

In the same way, light up this world's sky with who you are. Don't fade for the fickle. Remember God is natural. He is fierce without being forceful, and it's His idea of illumination we should consult when trying to shine through the shoddy. The shadows will run far from you quickly when He burns the way to becoming a lamp everyone can see....

If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light. (Luke 11:36 NKJV)
