15 Minutes Of Fame

Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, Who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden In the day of the Lords anger. (Zephaniah 2:3 NKJV)

I would be lying if I said I did not wish I was famous at one time or another in my life. A published author, a princess, or a successful public figure. To be free from the day to day wrestling match with ones money, to have the things that seem to come so easily to those in the public eye.
I would also be lying if I said I still wish for all of those things today. The thing is that God has been working with me on the difference between the idea of fame and what it truly means to be a celebrity. Not by the worlds definition but HIS.

You see, once He has this lesson with you, you will be both relieved and embarrassed to find out you already are a princess. That you already have freedom from the restrictions of the world. In fact, you are rich beyond a bank accounts capacity or the things you wish for each year to be under the Christmas tree.

Sing, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! The Lord has taken away your judgments, He has cast out your enemy. The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; You shall see disaster no more. (Zephaniah 3:14, 15 NKJV)

In your faithfulness to Him, God has already wrapped everything you have ever needed or wanted up in pretty paper and placed a label on each box with YOUR name on them. He waits eagerly for your company to receive these gifts as they given. Be patient in your struggles and glad in your grief because the next present has your lacking inside. It is a promise. It is not by money, popularity, or accomplishments we attain our hearts desires. We will only receive 15 min of fame if signing with the world and it's offers. On the contrary, God's role for you lasts forever.

I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly, Who are among you, To whom its reproach is a burden. Behold, at that time I will deal with all who afflict you; I will save the lame, And gather those who were driven out; I will appoint them for praise and fame In every land where they were put to shame. At that time I will bring you back, Even at the time I gather you; For I will give you fame and praise Among all the peoples of the earth, When I return your captives before your eyes, Says the Lord. (Zephaniah 3:18-20 NKJV)

See, I right now, am looking for a job. I could be afraid, full of self doubt or several other things the enemy tells me I be in order to distract me from what God's offered me in contract.

Instead, I turn down the world's offer of success to in turn work for God. Knowing He has my life wrapped up in pretty paper with a label with my name on it. I am excited to open the next gift because I trust what's inside is just what I am lacking. Every day is such a gift. Believe in His ideas for your success over lies, pressure, of the highest bidder. Trust in God and I'll guarantee HIS PAYOUT IS BIGGER.
